Sheryl Sandberg coined the term “Lean In” with her book but in reality women have been leaning in (and out) for decades in trying to balance being a working mom, in or out of the home, wife, along with finding their own personal enjoyment. Tracey Michae’l Lewis – Giggetts is an author, professor, entrepreneur, wife and mother of a 4-yr old daughter. She explains what’s it’s like to juggle all of those responsibilities and that you can have it all…just not at the same time.
Tracey discussed her struggles with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the importance of putting self-care as a priority and the delicate balance of the initial pain that occurs with exercise and what it’s like to work through that knowing that exercise is a healing mechanism for both illnesses. She uses this is a life metaphor for her in her marriage and with her daughter to which she states, “Sometimes boo-boos hurt before they heal.” For more information on Tracey, her books and speaking engagements, go to her website, traceymlewis.com
